RASAM VADA

Hey foodie.

Good morning.. got yu a very yummy recipe which wud be loved by all.

People who are looking for no onion garlic recipe.. can have this.

Few of us might not know much about Rasam Vadas,,, so here is the recipe for you which is very relishing.

For ulundu vada / Urad dal vada.

Ingredients ( my cup measures - 250 ml)

Whole Urad dal - 1 cup
Green chillies - 2
Peppercorns - 1tsp
Coriander leaves - 2 tblp, chopped.
Curry leaves - A sprig
Asafoetida - 3-4 pinches
Salt - As needed
Water - As needed (very little)

Instructions:

Soak urad dal atleast for 2-3 hrs



Grind urad dal in mixie with very little water until its fluffy.




Dont put all the dal in one go, first grind lil and then keep adding or mixie will get stuck.




Now chop green chillies, coriander and curry leaves and add all these to the batter along with salt,
peppercorns and asafetida.




You can add green chillies while grinding the batter itself.

Now mix well,keep aside and heat enough oil in kadai. Now wet your right hand well and make a small ball.


And use your thumb to make hole in the middle and and drop it in oil and Fry in medium flame, turn the vada's and fry till both the sides turn crisp and golden brown.







Keep the hot vadas in tissue paper which will remove excess oil and dipped in hot rasam and serve it..!!
